VIDEO: UNIZIK students build, succesfully fly quadcopter

Undergraduates of Nnamdi Azikwe University (UNIZIK) have successfully flown a locally crafted quadcopter.

Chinonso Achebe, associate professor of mechanical engineering at UNIZIK, Awka, shared a video on his Facebook page showing the quadcopter that was built by the students.
The video captured students and lecturers testing the project which was in the sky for over a minute and finally had an exquisite landing.

A quadcopter, also called a quadrotor helicopter, is a multirotor helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors.
Quadcopters are used by university researchers to test and evaluate new ideas in a number of different fields, including flight control theory, navigation, real time systems, and robotics.
