FUTO PROTESTS: “vacate our hostels and facilities within 24 hours” FG replies students, deploys military.


The federal government of the federal republic of Nigeria, in response to the fierce protests carried out by students in the federal university of technology owerri (FUTO), has ordered that students vacate the hostel premises and other school properties within 24hrs, and the school be shut down. Soldiers of the Nigerian army have also been deployed to enforce this and guard the diamond bank premises which looks very likely to be attacked.


Nearly every student is seen leaving the school premises. It has also been gathered that Comrade ogbonna Collins, the leader of the protest has been arrested by security forces. The university remains shutdown while the senate counts its looses.
